Former Tar Heel Sharpe Showing What He’s Made Of In Brooklyn

Day’Ron Sharpe was a standout college basketball player for the University of North Carolina which’s no surprise why he’s playing in a big-market city like New York. For the most part, since the Brooklyn nets drafted him, he’s only been playing a few minutes a game. Sharpe has been one of those players whose place in the rotation has been mostly nothing except for a few spot minutes or in garbage time. Sharpe has spent a good amount of time getting his reps in the G League and it looks like the work is starting to pay dividends for him and it showed in the Brooklyn Nets victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers last week where he scored twenty points and snatched eleven rebounds.

When asked about what he attributes his recent success to Sharpe said: ““For me, personally, I just tried to take every day like I’m still going to start, playing 40 minutes. You know I lift every day and try to get some conditioning every day. And I just repetition, repetition on the same things that you know, I’m going to do when I’m on the court. So, I feel like just me doing it all year long has helped me.” Once again, the state of North Carolina shows its basketball superiority to all other states nationwide as a former Tar Heel is now hitting their stride in their NBA career.
