During this NBA season, Lebron James has continued to show the dominance that has been easy for him to display throughout his career. The Los Angeles Lakers are the team he plays for and, unfortunately, have been one of the NBA’s worst teams this season. However, fans have noticed James’s exceptional performances and voted him captain of the western conference for this year’s all-star game. One of James’s most prominent supporters is NFL hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, a three-time super bowl champion, a five-time All-Pro, an eight-time pro-bowler, and a member of the NFL’s 1990s all-decade team. On January 20, 2023, Sharpe got into a verbal altercation with Tee Morant, father of Grizzlies star Ja Morant and Grizzlies player Steven Adams. There was a significant security presence, so things didn’t get physical. Sharpe is one of the biggest names in sports media working with Skip Bayless on “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed” and issued an on-air apology saying: “I’ve preached for the last six and a half years responsibility and accountability, and I take full responsibility for what transpired. “I will never say it wasn’t Shannon Sharpe because that was me. That was me getting out of character. And I’m sorry for all those that saw my actions and took offense to my actions.”
