RALEIGH, N.C. . . . Matthew “Matt” Ward has joined North State Bank (the “Bank”) as a commercial
loan portfolio manager serving North Raleigh office customers announced Amanda Lloyd, executive
vice president and chief people officer. He comes to the Bank following ten years of work in the
industry, serving in lending and credit positions at BB&T, Truliant Federal Credit Union and Bank of
America.
“We’re happy to welcome Matt to the team,” said Lloyd. “With his experience working both directly
with customers, as well as in underwriting and as an analyst, he has holistic lending expertise that is a great asset in this position.”
Ward earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in accounting from Liberty
University. A native of Maryland, he now lives in Lexington, North Carolina, where he volunteers with
First Tee of the Triad, which utilizes golf instruction to teach kids essential character traits and valuable life skills.
“Ultimately lending is about supporting companies as they pursue success,” shared Ward. “There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t get the opportunity to help a customer in some way.”
