Cary, N.C. – Dr. Allan Acton is proud to announce the addition of a new associate dentist to his team, Dr. Matthew Bostian. Dr. Acton is the owner and founder of Cary Family Dental, practicing general, cosmetic and sedation dentistry in the western suburbs of Raleigh, North Carolina.
“I’m excited for Dr. Bostian to offer his expertise in surgery, implantology, and comprehensive dental care to our patients,” Dr. Acton said. “I feel thankful to have found another dentist who also values patient education and working to make anxious patients feel comfortable.”
The hiring of Dr. Bostian coincides with the opening of Cary Family Dental’s second location at 915 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary, North Carolina. The practice will serve patients at both locations in an effort to keep up with the growing population in Western Wake County.
Originally from New Bern, North Carolina, Dr. Bostian graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with awards in outstanding achievement in operative dentistry, prosthodontics and implant dentistry. After graduating, he continued his training at James J. Peters VA Medical Center in New York City, where he treated United States veterans and gained extensive experience working with anxious and phobic patients.
Dr. Bostian is a strong believer in co-diagnosis; involving patients in the treatment planning process with education about their dental health. “I believe trust and meaningful relationships are essential to providing the best dental care possible,” Dr. Bostian said.
As a former science teacher of Teach For America and director of a free dental clinic, Dr. Bostian is always looking for ways to give back to underserved communities. His former colleagues say he is best known for creating a compassionate, patient-focused and non-judgmental atmosphere for every patient, regardless of their background or dental history.
Dr. Bostian will begin seeing patients in November of 2018 at the Cary Family Dental practice located at 1149 Kildaire Farm Road.
