Achieving Excellence: We all have said it “I am going to do better this new year.” Even I have made resolutions and for whatever reason I defaulted reaching the goal. We need to look for a way to be consistent, or should I say hold ourselves accountable. We want the change to happen and we want to reach the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
We can have it if we stick to our guns and do what we say we will do! Let’s look at some passed resolutions, these are mine. They may not be yours or if you are honest you might say, “me too.” I said I was going to lose some weight , but did I exercise or join a gym, No. I said I was going to be more involved in my neighborhood community meetings, did I, No. I said I would manage my finances better but did I, No. I wouldn’t even keep-up with the receipts. We need to improve and reach new heights.
You ask how can we do that? Be honest with yourself when making your future new year resolutions and hold yourself accountable. If you say it, then do it. I could have attended the neighborhood watch meeting. They post the sign right out front of my house in the neighbor’s yard. I can change that. I can write down the date and time then ask my neighbor to carpool with me, easy, Yes.
Budgeting my finances, if you don’t need it don’t buy it. Record expenses in a ledger and keep up with the receipts. Since we are watching the budget and we want to loss weight, get a walking partner and you both hold each other accountable. This can be a road map to help improve and reach new heights… Accountability is the key to succeed.
Abonni Anthony, Achieving Excellence:
You may remember the name Maudine Harrington from the 2019 Holiday edition of the City Insight Magazine. She was introduced in the series article Preneur Pro Tips. Here she is giving you her encouragement to make the new year one that will see success. She has already found success because she has set her mark on accomplishing goals and what you just read is one.
Follow the advice of Maudine and set a road map to help improve and reach new heights. Let’s talk about the mobile pay experience for example. Did you know that if you use the Cash App to accept payments from your customers, there is a way to enhance their experience? In the App there is a QR code for you as the recipient. You can screenshot the code and make it your lock screen picture. Instead of people trying to type in your phone number just wake your phone and have them use their Cash App to scan.
It makes the purchase easier and makes their experience pleasant. Their experience makes them potentially a repeat customer. Want to give it a festive feel for the holidays? Place your QR code in the middle of your favorite holiday scene before saving it to your lock screen. Join us next issue as we are Moving Forward… Achieving Excellence!!!
