Carolina Panthers Draft Bryce Young With The First Overall Pick

It was a historic moment at the 2023 NFL Draft as the Carolina Panthers selected Bryce Young as the first overall pick. The young quarterback is seen by many as a potential franchise player, and the Panthers were eager to draft him given everything he accomplished playing for the University of Alabama. Young has been working towards this moment his entire life, and now he can prove himself on the biggest stage in football. Nick Saban is accepted by many as the greatest coach in college football history, with seven national championships, ten SEC championships, fifteen SEC Western Divisions won, and turning the University of Alabama into the premier college to the NFL pipeline.

There’s no debating his claim to be the greatest college coach ever because, to add to that, Saban’s produced four Heisman winners, wide receiver Devonta Smith, running backs Mark Ingram and Derrick Henry, and quarterback Bryce Young. Young is evident in Saban’s growth as a coach because, for so long, Saban was an ardent defensive-minded head coach, but as football changed, Saban had to change with it and become a better offensive coach. Bryce Young isn’t just indicative of Saban’s growth as a head coach and a Saban product but also a product of great parenting, hard work, dedication, and his own man. Young has a chance to show this to the Carolina Panthers as they drafted him with the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, but if anyone can rise to the challenge, it’s this Heisman-winning quarterback.
